Abstract:

In the 70s and 80s, computing moved to a centralized model to a personal model. This change empowered millions of citizens to embrace technology and created the startup culture and innovation we currently live in. Cloud computing and Software as a Service (SaaS) is currently very centralized. Let’s imagine how decentralizing the Cloud could lead to a Cloud revolution similar to what happened with the PC. As privacy is challenged, as IoT and quantified self are approaching, the personal Cloud is a newer approach that could enable each of us to be more in control of our software and data. img-flecheHaut
