Abstract:

SketchChair is an open-source piece of software that allows anyone design and fabricate their own furniture using a sketch-based interface. Furniture designs can be uploaded to an online library under Creative Commons Licences. As people continually modify their own and others creations, they contribute to a living ecology of evolving designs.

SketchChair was in part funded though Kickstarter that not only provided funding. But also provided an engaged community of interested people that helped shape the final tool its self. img-flecheHaut
